Out of a passion for Jazz developed an evergrowing interest for R'n'B, Soul, Funk, Latin and Bossa Nova.

But actually a music carrier started in 1982 as a Reggae DJ. It went so far that DJ Bunani was the only Non-African or Afro-American DJ invited to play at different Reggae-Events. From this time he became the not so common name "Bunani" borrowed from real Rastas.

At the end putting his foot into Soul and Funk with a touch of Latin, Boogaloo, Afro and Brasil.

In the mid-80s a movement called "Afro Raduno" in and around Italy, Germany and Austria became successful. The musical energy paid dues, and different music types developed and also the first perfect mixes.

Styles like Electronic, Afro, Funk, Brasil and Ethno flowing together developed a one of a kind soundcollage. From this started a scene in Vienna that Dj Bunani worked with and carried along.

In the beginning of the 90s Acid Jazz dominated the scene as musical idol, with a touch of Hip Hop and Modern Soul. Which for a few years was the music identity of DJ Bunani.

It went further with "Tribal House" and "Progressive House" and a few other variations of House Music.

Around the mid-90s the trend developed into Techno, Goa, Trance, Hard Trance, Acid, etc.

DJ Bunani was in the middle of this for about 3 years. Until he had enough of that kind of atmosphere and even of the people of these scenes. Raves and Goa Parties simply were then a thing of the past.

From then on he progressed further and below in Vienna a successful electronic scene emerged. The sounds this time were more downbeat. From Dub over Groove to Headz, Latin influenced and percussive sounds. Todays examples are Breakbeat UK Garage, Ragga, JazzStep and NuGroove.

Parallel to this started the today legendary club "Soul Sugar" which stands for "Retro". DJ Bunani became a resident DJ and with his dynamic sets is also responsible for the success of this club.

DJ Bunani visited the "Institute Of Audio Engineering" in Vienna till March 2004 and released at the same time his first retro-compilation "Recovered Vol.1" at Columbia/Sony. Even the compilation "Soul Sugar - Vol.1" was strongly supported by him.

In february 2005 the next compilation tunes was released by DJ Bunani under the title "Soul On Fire" at Columbia/SonyBMG.

Beside this he is working on his first new electronic album. When is he going to release that? Who nows… but shurely he gonna start firstly with a 12".
